1. Jordan Matthews, wide receiver

Despite playing for the Eagles twice, Jordan Matthews was in the wrong place at the wrong time when ‘The Birds’ landed their first Super Bowl title following the 2017-18 season. He’s a little older now, but we know Philly likes employing guys who have been a part of the team before.

Could a third stint lead to a possible Super Bowl? Plus, he’s got a connection with Carson Wentz.

2. Luke Willson, tight end

If the Eagles truly have no interest in Joshua Perkins being a part of the long-term future in Philly, then, Luke Willson is as good as any of the other guys in the free agency pool. He’s also notched 11 touchdowns in his NFL career, and he’s a decent blocker. He could serve in the role of ‘fill in’ until Rodgers is ready.

3. Joshua Garnett, guard

If Brandon Brooks isn’t ready to go Week 1, then the Eagles have one person on their roster who’s actually played guard in an NFL game, and that’s Isaac Seumalo. Joshua Garnett has started 11 of the 22 games he’s appeared in, and other than being placed on injured reserve after having knee surgery in 2017, there isn’t much that can be seen as negative for a guy who will probably be a reserve anyway.

The San Francisco 49ers declined his fifth-year option on May 2nd, and that made him a free agent. He hasn’t seen an NFL roster since. That could be a red flag.
