4. Demaryius Thomas, wide receiver

Let’s ease your minds about something. Demaryius Thomas will be on an NFL roster in 2019. No, there’s nothing wrong with him, other than the fact that he may be a step slower, but it stands to reason that New England Patriots getting Josh Gordon back made Thomas dispensible.

Okay, so maybe he isn’t an unknown, but he could be a nice option as a possession receiver. Also, ask yourself this. Would you rather have Thomas or Mack Hollins in the lineup?

5. Matt Lengel, tight end

Again, every tight end being mentioned is being brought up because we at ITI believe the Eagles will activate Richard Rodgers at some point this season. Enter Matt Lengel. The Patriots though so much of him that they signed him off of the Cincinnati Bengals‘ practice squad to fill in after a Rob Gronkowski injury. His career in New England ended with an injury settlement on September 30th of 2017.

He’s since been on the Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and the Cincinnati Bengals for a second time, but he’s still just as good as everyone who’s on the waiver wire.
