1. Brandon Marshall, linebacker

The reasons the Oakland Raiders made the decision to release Brandon Marshall haven’t really been stated, but they may include the following. He may not be completely healed of a knee injury that’s been bothering him for quite some time, and he saves the club some money.

Regardless of what turn his career has taken, history has taught every Eagles fan that sometimes all a guy labeled as ‘injury-prone’ needs is for a team to give him a shot. Remember Patrick Robinson? Marshall could be an instant upgrade for an Eagles squad who is still a tad unsure of what Nathan Gerry and T.J. Edwards will become.

Keep in mind the fact that Kamu Grugier-Hill is hurt and Nigel Bradham may not be one-hundred percent healthy. Marshall has 419 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery on his 74-game resume. That includes 63 starts. Now imagine him with no pressure and being able to serve in a reserve role.
