The Philadelphia Eagles have submitted their final roster on Saturday, which left out a few names and kind of shocked us all.

While this time of the year is exciting for NFL fans as the new season kicks off in a week — it is also the most stressful time for players and front offices. For the last few months, the Philadelphia Eagles have hosted 90 players at the Nova Care Complex for OTAs and training camp.

On Friday, they were forced to turn that 90-man roster into a 75-man roster. Then, by 4 PM on Saturday, they are expected to submit a final 53-man list, eliminating the rest. This happens every year, and as you can expect, it never gets any easier for the team.

For the most part, we knew who was going to make the team, and who was likely not to stick around. For the roster hopefuls, they have to show out pretty much every single day from training camp to the preseason matchups.

While preseason is typically there for roster hopefuls to showcase their talent in realtime against other opponents — it’s pretty rare when the deep rostered standouts actually make the cut when it’s all said and done. The Eagles kept their best preseason player in Daeshon Hall, but they did leave out roughly seven names, which sort of shocked us.

So with the final roster typed up and published for all to see, which eight players who were excluded from the team moving forward shocked us the most?
