The Defensive Backs

CB1

1. Ronald Darby

2. Sidney Jones

3. Cre’Veon LeBlanc

Ronald Darby signed back with the Eagles for over $9 million. There was no way they were paying him to sit on the bench. Sidney Jones had a solid offseason, but it doesn’t look like he scooped up the starting position on the outside. Seeing how the other outside position is set up, it feels like Jones is a lock in the slot with Cre’Von LeBlanc injured.

CB2

1. Avonte Maddox

2. Rasul Douglas

There was a chance that Maddox could get thrown on the inside, but it seems like the Eagles want him starting outside. Meanwhile, Rasul Douglas has to take a backseat once again — even after having one of the strongest camps out of anybody.

S1

1. Malcolm Jenkins

2. Rudy Ford

Rudy Ford is in Philly to play special teams. Something crazy would have to happen in order for him to pick up snaps behind Malcolm Jenkins. The Eagles leader simply does not miss plays.

S2

1. Rodney McLeod

2. Andrew Sendejo

3. Johnathan Cyprien

Rodney McLeod is back and healthy again. Therefore, he takes over starting duties. The Eagles like Andrew Sendejo a lot, so it comes as no surprise he made the team. Johnathan Cyprien squeezed onto the final roster as expected, but it will be interesting to see if he picks up some rotational snaps as well along with Sendejo.
