Sure, even as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you have to admit that Ezekiel Elliott’s talent is transcendent, but let’s be honest. There are several NFL backs who are better.

Ask yourself a question. If Ezekiel Elliott didn’t play for the Dallas Cowboys, would he be seen as the best running back in the NFL by anyone? It’s an interesting question, isn’t it? Love them or hate them, the self-proclaimed ‘America’s Team’ will always be a draw. Why? You either love them or you hate them, but everyone has an opinion. Count Philadelphia Eagles fans in the group of people who hate get just as much joy out of seeing the Cowboys lose as they get in seeing the Eagles win.

Even with that being said, the Cowboys are always an interesting conversation piece because, well, they’re the Cowboys. They’re the billion-dollar team with the maniacal owner who can’t hire a coach who will overshadow him. They’re the guys with the star on their helmet who play on every Thanksgiving.

They play in ‘Jerry’s World’, and they’re home to the most famous cheerleaders on Planet Earth. Let’s be honest though. Guys are overhyped who play there. Dak Prescott would be ignored on another team, and if you don’t believe that, consider something else.

How would we value guys like Alvin Kamara if he traded a New Orleans Saints jersey for the blue and grey of the Cowboys? You know the answer. Kamara would then be in the ‘best running back in the NFL’ conversation, and ‘Zeke’ would just be a very good player on a very good team.

You see where this is headed, don’t you? Forget what the delusional Cowboys fan tells you. Forget their Madden rating. Here are four running backs who are better than ‘Zeke’ is.
