There were a handful of unknown standouts for the Philadelphia Eagles in training camp. Unfortunately, they didn’t stand out during the 2019 Preseason.

Every year, the Philadelphia Eagles have at least one major winner from the preseason. We know this all too well. An unknown player will make noise in the spring, and earn themselves better reps when training camp rolls around. Then, after they stand out in training camp, they garner valuable reps during the preseason. Then hopefully, that helps them make the team.

Two years ago, that player was Corey Clement. Last season, it was DeAndre Carter and Josh Adams. This year, the big winner is defensive end, Daeshon Hall. Offseason standouts don’t always make the team though. There are many cases when players will stand out in the spring, make noise during training camp, then do next to nothing in the preseason.

While the Eagles came away with a real winner in Hall, they had a solid handful of guys who created a buzz in training camp but failed to meet expectations during the 2019 preseason. Most of these players ended up being released. However, one got lucky and still managed to stick around. Let’s check out the Eagles’ 2019 preseason busts.
