The Philadelphia Eagles top the Dallas Cowboys on five major NFL Week 1 Power Rankings.

All offseason, we’ve been fed the same narratives. The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are tuning up for what’s been said to be a two-team race in the NFC East. The Washington Redskins and New York Giants are seen as having no shot, and Philly and Dallas are both expected to make the NFL Playoffs.

Before that, ‘The Birds’ and ‘Boys’ will have to work out divisional superiority, and once playoff positioning is decided, these two rivals will gear up for potential Super Bowl runs.

The journey for both and the 30 other NFL franchises begins in Week 1. Every member of the NFC East meets another in the regular season’s opening stanza, and the favorites to win that division are favored in both games.

How do they stack up against the rest of the NFL in the minds of the experts? That’s a very good question. With less than a week to go before the games count, many sources for pro football content are releasing their power rankings for Week 1. Let’s look at five of them.
