A guy who typically makes Philly angry sides with ‘The Birds’.

FS1’s Colin Cowherd tends to irritate Philadelphia Eagles fans from time to time, but recently, he’s been very complimentary of ‘The Birds’ roster recently. Let’s start with his take.

Let’s move on to NFL.com’s ranking where the Eagles placed two spots higher than Dallas. Dan Hanzus is the writer of this one, and here’s some of his theory on Philly.

"Eagles fans have every reason to be optimistic as the 2019 season opens… What’s an obvious weakness of this team? It’s not a stretch to imagine a healthy Carson Wentz regaining his pre-injury 2017 magic and leading a top-10 offense… While the Cowboys get all the offseason shine, it’s the Iggles lurking in the shadows, hungrier than a Broad Street bro waiting for a Wing Bowl that won’t come."

We move on to USA TODAY’s Nate Davis, and he has a few theories of his own. On his list, the Eagles are fourth, and Dallas doesn’t even crack the top ten. The New England Patriots (1), Kansas City Chiefs (2), New Orleans Saints (3), and Minnesota Vikings (5) round out the rest of the top five.

Sports Illustrated’s Monday Morning Quarterback is next. Dallas actually cracks the top ten here, just one spot behind Philly at six, but the Eagles and, as the MMQB staff states, their Super Bowl-ready roster is already one step ahead of Dallas, who’s spent a great deal of their time dealing with contract issues.
