The Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Redskins in the first week of the NFL season. Here are five matchups that will decide Sunday’s contest.

There’s a word that’s being thrown around a lot, and that word is excitement. The Philadelphia Eagles‘ franchise signal-caller used it. Before that, we heard it from the head coach, Doug Pederson. The Eagles’ players have used it. So have the fans. Now, it’s being thrown around on social media and on television. Everyone is stoked about another NFL season.

We won’t have to wait much longer as the first game comes for 28 of the 32 professional franchises on Sunday. The NFC East features two divisional clashes. The Dallas Cowboys lock up with the New York Giants, and as every fan of ‘The Birds’ knows, the Eagles host one of their most familiar adversaries, the Washington Redskins.

Every game has several ‘games within the game’. Every NFL game unfolds like a dramatic presentation, and if you’re into the theatre of professional football, then have no fear. This game has no shortage of storylines. There’s no point in beating around the bush. Let’s talk about a few areas that should be interesting. You can bet money on it.
