Patriots signing AB means Philadelphia Eagles will beat them twice in 2019
The New England Patriots signing of Antonio Brown means that the Philadelphia Eagles will beat them twice in 2019. Well, hold on. Let’s all calm down a tad.
Can you say rubber match? After everything we’ve said and tweeted about Antonio Brown, it appears A.B has landed on his feet. Ladies and gentlemen, don’t adjust your television sets. The news that you’ve gotten is correct. ‘A.B.’ has joined the New England Patriots, and with that, we can all say that the Philadelphia Eagles will beat them twice in the 2019-20 season.
Well, maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Maybe everyone’s a little excited. Everybody calm down. Let’s all breathe. Let’s slow down for a second.
Just in case you’ve been under the proverbial rock, here’s what’s happened. Antonio Brown, for lack of a better term, has been acting like he’s lost his mind, and despite all of that, he’s basically been given a better career opportunity.
Hours after being released by the Oakland Raiders, he’s been signed by the Patriots on a one year deal that could pay him up to $15 million, and just like that, people are changing their Super Bowl predictions. He won’t be able to join the team on the field until Week 2.
If this works and if this guy starts doing things the ‘Patriot’s Way’, Robert Kraft needs to open some sort of counseling service.
Yes, when Tom Brady lines up behind center, he’ll have Julian Edelman, and Josh Gordon, and Antonio Brown at his disposal. The Eagles are scheduled to host New England in Week 11 at Lincoln Financial Field. They’ll get a good look at a team that, if things go according to plan, they can run into again in February.
Could Philly upset New England twice?
The Eagles are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Sure, they’ve got to get past the Washington Redskins first in Week 1. Sure, there are some tough games on the slate, and they’ll have to play nine of them before they even see Bill Belichick and company. Look at things this way though.
You’ve seen all of the ‘Rocky’ movies. You’ve seen a ton of upsets in your life, and you saw Super Bowl LII. Don’t you tell yourselves for a second that it can’t happen. Dust off the dog masks guys and gals, the rubber match could be on. Who else is ready for another Eagles and Patriots Super Bowl matchup?
