1. DeSean Jackson goes deep but doesn’t score

We’ve been waiting for the return of DeSean Jackson since the season that he left. I’ll say this one more time — Chip Kelly made a huge mistake by cutting this guy after having a career year. And ever since Jackson left, the Eagles failed to fill that void numerous times.

For years, the Eagles have been on the hunt for a deep threat in the passing game. After the 2016 season, they looked to patch it up again by actually acquiring DeSean Jackson through the free agency market. Apparently, the money wasn’t right for DeSean, though.

After realizing that his situation in Tampa Bay was rough, Jackson wanted out. And the Eagles came calling. Now, they are looking to utilize the veteran wideout as much as possible. Jackson and Carson Wentz built up a strong connection in the offseason, and many are excited to watch it come to life on Sunday against Jackson’s old team.

I’ll call it right now — Wentz and Jackson will connect on a deep ball rather early. But the wideout will not be able to take it to the house. You might hate hearing this, but Wentz could end up underthrowing the biggest play of the day. Fortunately, Jackson will likely have a few steps on the defensive back so that it won’t get picked. But he won’t be far enough away to take it to the house.
