2. Should we be concerned about the health of the defensive line’s interior?

Fletcher Cox is playing in this one. That wasn’t certainty about two days ago. Now, even though he’s active, you have to ask yourself how effective he’ll be. He’s a part of the most impressive rotation of defensive tackles the Eagles have had in a while. Next to him is Malik Jackson, and try this on for size.

Timmy Jernigan was a starter just two seasons ago. Now, he’s the third guy.

Once the 2017 season concluded, Jernigan went under the knife on May 3rd of 2018 to fix a back issue. He began the 2018 season on the reserve/non-football injury list but was activated off of that on November 20th. He never looked like the Jernigan we know last season, but now, he’s had an entire offseason to heal.

If he and Cox are good to go, watch out. If they aren’t quite one-hundred percent there may be some questions about if Timmy will be okay for 2019 and why Cox is even playing in the first place.
