54. Evan Mathis was a member of the Eagles for four seasons, but he started every one of his 56 appearances and earned the love of his fans and teammates.. G. . Evan Mathis (2011-2014). . team

People forget that, for two years, Evan Mathis was considered by many to be the best guard in all of football. Maybe it’s because that was during the Chip Kelly era. The Eagles have a rich history of some mean offensive lineman, and that includes guards.

Jermane Mayberry, John Welbourn, and Wade Key are a few that come to mind, and Shawn Andrews also had similar accolades to Mathis, but he was so often injured. Mathis lined up next to Bednarik would be absolutely abdominal.

This two-time Pro Bowl selection (2013 and 2014) and former First-team All-Pro (2013 ) was excellent in his brief tenure in Philly, but he’s still deserving of this spot. Evan Mathis in his prime is just as good if not better than any great guard in Eagles history. You can count on that.
