54. Had his life not been cut short by an unfortunate traffic accident, Jerome Brown would be a Hall of Famer. Period.. DT. . Jerome Brown (1987-1991). . team

Jerome Brown was the sidekick of Philly’s ‘Minister of Defense’, Reggie White. Both were a part of one of the most feared defensive lines in NFL and team history, that of the famed Buddy Ryan era.

Ryan came to Philly with a plan. He was going to build the most feared defense in Eagles history, and he was going to ride that to a Super Bowl. Though he never accomplished the second part of that plan, he aced the first. Jerome Brown’s career was tragically cut short after a fatal car accident in 1992, but by then, everyone had already seen enough to know Brown was, indeed, one of the greatest talents in team history along the defensive line’s interior

Brown’s run in Philly is one that would rival any defensive tackle of any era. There’s no doubt that he had the skills to make it to Canton had he been able to play out his career. A spiritual leader in the locker room, Brown was one of the most popular players on his roster and would, no doubt,  be the same on this one.

There’s no way that we create a team like this and don’t give him a spot is more than deserving of a spot.
