Here’s an all-time Philadelphia Eagles team fans can be proud of
The defensive line of the Buddy Ryan “Gang Green” Eagles was one of the most dominant and destructive ever, but they weren’t necessarily deep. That isn’t meant to be disrespectful to Mike Pitts and Mike Golic. They were good, but just imagine Jerome Brown at one defensive tackle spot and Fletcher Cox at the other.
They’d be unblockable. If not for playing in the same era as Aaron Donald, Cox would be universally seen as the best interior defensive lineman of his era. Cox has something that Donald doesn’t though. He has a Super Bowl ring.
He’s currently seeking a second, and in 2019, he’ll be looking to add to a stat line that included 327 total tackles, 44.5 sacks, eight Forced fumbles, ten fumble recoveries, 12 pass deflections, and two defensive touchdowns.
He’ll be enshrined in Canton when his playing days are over.
