Here’s an all-time Philadelphia Eagles team fans can be proud of
Just like the selection of Bednarik, this one should be obvious. Reggie White is not only one of the greatest Eagles of all time, but you could argue that he’s the greatest defensive end all time. White is a member of the 75th Anniversary team, and he should be on the team honoring the 100th anniversary as well. This is a no-brainer.
In 2010, NFL Network had a countdown of the 100 greatest players in the history of the league and Reggie White clocked in at number seven. While he may have won his coveted Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers, he did become the NFL’s all-time sack leader at the time with the Eagles.
He was, without question, the best player on the league’s best defense during the Buddy Ryan years of the late 1980s, and he was one of the most dominant players in the history of the game.
He appeared in 121 games as an Eagles with 120 starts. 794 total tackles, 124 sacks, 18 forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and four touchdowns on defense were the result. Yeah, he was pretty good.
