Seth Joyner (1986-1993). . team. 54. Seth Joyner would be a starter on any linebacker unit in any era of Eagles football. That is a fact.. OLB.

Yet another ‘Gang Green’ member gets the nod. Seth Joyner may have been the smartest member of that defense. He was also one of the best.

Joyner was a nod to the NFL’s old school. He was a throwback type of linebacker that loved creating contact. Joyner was just as likely to pick off a quarterback as he was to knock him out. He was one of the most complete linebackers of his era and, honestly, deserves some Pro Football Hall of Fame consideration.

An absolute carnivore at linebacker, the two-time Pro-Bowl nod completes a front seven that would be just as mean and as nasty as the city and fanbase that would support it.

875 total tackles, 37 sacks, 21 forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, 17 interceptions, and five defensive touchdowns in an Eagles jersey don’t hurt his case either.
