As if there was another option. Brian Dawkins is probably the most beloved Eagle of all time.
‘Weapon X’ was the spiritual and vocal leader during both the Ray Rhodes and Andy Reid eras, and his 34 interceptions was good enough for the aforementioned three-way tie for the team’s record in that category.
He gave everything he had to the Eagles for 13 seasons, and he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 (and was introduced by Troy Vincent).
His resume includes nine Pro Bowl nods (1999, 2001, 2002, 2004–2006, 2008, 2009, 2011). He was a First-team All-Pro five times (2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2009). He’s a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, and no one will ever wear the number ’20’ again in an Eagles jersey. This list would need to be thrown out if he wasn’t on it.
