harold Carmichael (1971-1983). . team. 54. Harold Carmichael made four Pro Bowls as an Eagles receiver and is a member of the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, the Eagles Hall of Fame, and the Philadelphia Eagles 75th-anniversary team.. WR.

The tallest wide receiver in NFL history, six-foot-eight Harold Carmichael, is the holder of every receiving record in the Eagles’ record books, and he holds most of them by a wide margin. His 127 consecutive games with a catch was an NFL record until some guy named Jerry Rice came along and decided he wanted that record, and so many others, for himself.

The numbers? Oh, you’re in for a treat. Carmichael’s 13 seasons with the Eagles wound up pretty nicely as the guy who made the number 17 famous in Philly racked up 589 receptions, 8,978 receiving yards, and 85 career touchdowns.

He would have been a monster these days as we’ve become a nation of people who play Fantasy football and check out the Pro Football Focus stat engine.

The four-time Pro Bowl nod (1973, 1978–1980) is a member of the 1970’s All-Decade Team, the Eagles Hall of Fame, and the Philadelphia Eagles 75th-Anniversary team, and it would be disrespectful not to give him a starting nod on this team.
