Desmond Trufant, cornerback

None of us know a whole lot about the offensive or defensive gameplan of either team, but we do know this. Both the Eagles and Falcons are going to try and exploit the other team’s defense with their passing attacks.

DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery are going to draw coverage from Desmond Trufant and Isaiah Oliver. We’re not sure who will cover who, but we do know that those are the guys that will hold down two of the most important jobs on the Falcons’ defense.

That is if Matt Ryan doesn’t get beaten up and can get the ball to them consistently.

Jake Matthews, left tackle

The responsibility of watching Matt Ryan’s blindside falls on Jake Matthews‘ shoulders. Much has been made about the Falcons skill players, and rightfully so. Much has been made about the issues with Atlanta’s offensive line, and that’s for a good reason too. Matthews figures to have his hands full all night with the Eagles pass rush.

That’s a job that won’t draw the envy of anyone.
