Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) at Houston Texans (0-1)

Venue and weather: NRG Stadium, Sunny, 91°F at kickoff

Prediction: What’s most disheartening, if you’re a Houston Texans fan, is the fact that this team should be 1-0. Here’s why they aren’t. Romeo Crennel elected to drop his safeties too far off of the line with less than ten seconds remaining. That basically gave Drew Brees an opportunity to complete a pass that assured the New Orleans Saints would have a shot at a  game-winning field goal (which they connected on).

Despite a tough loss, we’ve seen evidence of something yet again. Deshaun Watson is amazing, but the Texans are trying to kill him. The Texans can play with anyone. The Jacksonville Jaguars are not in their class. Expect a win by the Titans on Sunday. Final score: Texans 34, Jags 16

San Francisco 49ers (1-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

Venue and weather: Paul Brown Stadium, Mostly Sunny, 83°F at kickoff

Prediction: Here’s a game that quite a few people are going to miss (unless they’re a fan of one of these two teams), but this could be one of the better games of the day. Expect a back and forth affair here, one where the San Francisco 49ers eek one out on the road versus the Cincinnati BengalsFinal score:  49ers 31, Bengals 27
