ITI: What’s the Falcons’ biggest strength and weakness on both offense and defense?

Benedict: The biggest strength of the Falcons offense is the passing attack. The Falcons arguably boast the best wide receiving corps in the NFL. When you add in an elite quarterback, they are dangerous.

The Falcons just have to find five guys along the offensive line to actually block for Matt Ryan. That’s clearly their offensive weakness. If they can find that, you will see an offense that scores at will as they did in 2016.

Defensively is a much different story. They have great pieces on each level: Grady Jarrett, Deion Jones, and Keanu Neal. There just isn’t a great group or an identity on this defense. As the defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn’s biggest job is going to be to identify what group stands out as the best of the three and build around them.
