2. Remember that guy we saw in the Super Bowl?

Clement stole everybody’s heart as the undrafted rookie whose catch and run in the first half of Super Bowl LII set up one of the most famous trick plays in football and definitely the most famous trick play in Super Bowl history, the ‘Philly Special’.

He also took the snap on said play and pitched it to the man who threw the touchdown pass to Nick Foles, Trey Burton. Then, there was his touchdown catch in the back of the end zone in the third quarter. Clement became famous overnight. It was that performance that had fans wanting more the next season.

3. He may be the odd-man-out in a three-man committee approach.

It appears that Philly’s approach to the 2019 season is this. Miles Sanders is the starter. The desire for Jordan Howard is for him to be sort of a sledgehammer, and Sproles is the change of pace and the guy the Eagles trust the most to be in the lineup on third down.

It’s not clear what Clement’s role is or if he even has a role. Hopefully, he heals soon, but here’s an interesting thought. He may not even recognize this team when he returns.
