Injuries may be a part of the NFL game, but it’s starting to feel as though injuries are a part of the Eagles team culture. You could watch NFL football for the rest of this season, and you may not see a team lose a starting-caliber tight end, their two best wide receivers, a starting cornerback, a center, and its’ quarterback.

Now, Wentz and Jason Kelce would leave but return. DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery would both leave with injuries (and no targets) and wouldn’t be able to. Sidney Jones was evaluated for a concussion. Zach Ertz took a rib shot, and though Ertz would return and do his best Malcolm Jenkins impression on offense (he played every snap on offense), the Eagles would fall in this one.

Here’s the good news, the Eagles played a lot of the new guys, and they all played well. It was nice to see this team go down swinging. The bad news is this. We saw no more consistency in Week 2 than we saw in Week1. We’ll see how things go this week.
