31. . 0-2. Previous: 3rd. New York Giants. 4. team

Think about something for a second.

If someone was asked to answer immediately the question of whether or not any NFL team is worse than the New York Giants, the immediate answer would probably be the Miami Dolphins.

Don’t look now, but Miami may be flirting with an 0-16 season. Don’t look now, but the Giants are 0-2, and ladies and gentlemen, they aren’t winning next week either.

Other than Miami, it’s hard to think of another team that’s worse than New York is, isn’t it? Right now, we can’t definitively say that this is an 0-16 season, but we can say this.

Saquon Barkley is their lone offensive star. There’s no direction or identity. They gave the rest of their best players away, and if the Giants did go 0-16, would anyone be surprised? For the first time in what seems like since Jim Kelly was playing, the Buffalo Bills were a road favorite, and they won. That’s how bad things have gotten.

This is a bad representation of a once-proud franchise, and here’s the bad news for Giants fans. There’s no clear answer about when things are going to turn around.
