The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take on the Detroit Lions this weekend. Which five players are key to a victory?

We’re about a day away from the Philadelphia Eagles third matchup of the season, and everybody is still struggling to get the bad taste out of their mouths from the Week 2 defeat against Atlanta. It’s unfortunate the Eagles couldn’t pull off the comeback win, but now it’s time to put that loss in the past as the Detroit Lions are coming to town.

On Sunday, the Eagles will host their second home matchup of the season, and it won’t be nearly as easy as many expected when the schedule first came out. While it is universally believed the Eagles are the better overall team in this matchup, they’ve got the odds stacked against them.

Once again, Philly is dealing with a good chunk of critical injuries. Whenever the injury report contains about 25-percent of the roster, that’s never a good sign. The bad news is that most of the key players that got injured last week probably won’t play this week.

The good news is that since the Eagles were aware of who was unlikely to play, they actually got to prepare for the upcoming matchup with a short-handed squad this time around. It won’t be an easy game on Sunday, but the Eagles should be able to pull this one off. Which five players are going to need to be on their A-game though in order to secure the victory?
