1. ‘Mercedes Wentz’ has proven he’s clutch.

Despite being in the spot he’s in and despite the win-loss record, everyone needs to admit something. Wentz has proven he’s a franchise quarterback and one of the best young signal-callers in the game. Does he nail every throw? No, he doesn’t. You can argue that, had he thrown better balls, he would have completed two more touchdown throws to both Miles Sanders and Mack Hollins.

All of that happens during the course of the game though. Quarterbacks will miss throws. There are plays that will be left on the field. Here’s what can’t be denied. In each of the Eagles’ first three games, they’ve been down on the scoreboard when they went to the locker room at halftime. In each of those games, Wentz brought them back, and they had an opportunity to win.

It takes every one of the 11 guys on offense and the 11 men on defense to ensure a play’s success. If every man does his job, there’s a high chance of success. If someone falls asleep behind the wheel, it’s probably going to get noticed, and the possibility of success decreases. Since we’re all on that subject, there’s something you need to know.
