Philadelphia Eagles: 6 Players who stood out for better or for worse vs. Lions
4. Rasul Douglas, CB
Okay, now it’s time to get off of the negative stuff and point to the good guys. So the Eagles’ secondary hasn’t been all that great. In week one, they were terrible all around as a collective. Nobody stood out for anything good.
In Week 2, the secondary struggled, but a lot of the struggles surrounded one cornerback. That’s Ronald Darby. Again, this past Sunday Ronald Darby was picked on by Detroit before he left the game with a hamstring injury.
On the other side, though, Rasul Douglas did a fine job. As a matter of fact, so did Sidney Jones. They weren’t flawless, but they looked a lot better in Week 3 than they did in the first two matchups. Douglas is a good cornerback. He’s not a lockdown guy or anything, but he can get the job done. And on Sunday, he did a nice job for what he was asked to do. Can’t really complain there.
