If only there was a way to walk over to the Playstation 4 or the XBOX and, simply, hit the reset button. Unfortunately, that option only exists in the video game community. In life, there are no ‘do-overs’. You get one chance to win one game, and on Sunday, the Eagles failed miserably to build some momentum at home versus a Detroit Lions team that, for all intents and purposes, they should have beaten.

We’re talking about the NFL though ladies and gentlemen, and when your star quarterback is off-target on two passes that would have been touchdowns, the chance of success decreases. When your receivers drop seven passes, and two of those should have been touchdowns (one hit Dallas Goedert in the hands in the end zone and the other was a potential game-winner to JJ Arcega-Whiteside), the chance of success diminishes.

When you do all of that and turn the ball over three times, the chance of winning is almost impossible. The keyword in that sentence is ‘almost’. The Eagles, in spite of all of their self-destruction, had a chance to pull one out. That says a lot. If this team can ever get out of their own way, they could truly be something special.
