For Philadelphia Eagles team leader and safety Malcolm Jenkins, another game can’t come fast enough.

The Philadelphia Eagles haven’t won a game since the opening weekend of the NFL season. In that one, Malcolm Jenkins and his teammates took care of business versus a divisional rival, the Washington Redskins, but the margin of victory and some of the difficulty that Philly experienced during the contest made quite a few fans and members of the media wonder about something.

Some came away feeling like this. That one wasn’t supposed to be as tough as it was now, was it?

Concern led to some uneasiness as the Eagles lost again in Atlanta to the Falcons on Sunday Night Football. That one was dismissed, but when the Eagles lost in Week 3 at home to the Detroit Lions, some of Philly’s fan base went into full-blown panic.

The Eagles are 1-2 after three weeks, and now they have to travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin and face an undefeated Packers team at historic Lambeau Field.

This one, like the Atlanta game, will be featured and televised before a national audience, but here are two problems.

This is the best team the Eagles have faced so far, and they haven’t even put a full four quarters together against three teams who they’ve already seen.

Still, the Eagles players are ready. A short week means they can put the disappointment of losing in Week 3 behind them quickly, and for Malcolm Jenkins, that’s a good thing. Here’s what Philly’s ‘Iron Man’ had to say.

"The faster we get to move on to something else, we don’t have time to sit here and waddle in our sorrows. (We can’t feel bad for ourselves and make excuses. We have a game in a couple of days… On to the next."

Week 4’s matchup means ‘The Birds’ play their second game in less than five days, but there’s a bright side. They’ll also get a little under ten days before they’ll need to take the field versus the New York Jets.

That equates to a bye in the middle of the season, and that’s a good thing. Philly’s banged up. The team’s a little uncertain of themselves, and here comes Green Bay. Despite what you’ve seen, this is a winnable game for ‘The Birds’. Then, as mentioned, they get to rest a little. Hopefully, they’ll be doing so with a .500 record.
