Trevon Diggs, Alabama Crimson Tide

Those who think the College Football Playoff has leveled the playing field are having some difficulty in creating an argument stating the Clemson Tigers and Alabam Crimson Tide won’t meet again in January. Could we be looking at another installment in what’s become a modern-day rivalry?

If we are, here’s something that we all can agree on. Regardless of where they’re ranked, the Alabama Crimson Tide will. again, be a part of the discussion when the CFP comes around. Their best players will command the attention of NFL scouts. Everyone looking for a cover guy will be keeping close tabs on Trevon Diggs. He’s one to watch.

Jeff Okudah, Ohio State Buckeyes]

The Ohio State Buckeyes aren’t just winning. They’re making other teams look silly in the process. The Buckeyes have to be considered among the favs in the Big Ten. Their defense will tell the tale, and they have two future NFL stars in coverage. Jeffrey Okudah is on one side. Shaun Wade is on the other.

Get used to hearing both of those names a lot this season.
