Yes, they are flawed. No, they probably couldn’t cover the chair you’re sitting in on a consistent basis. Yes, Carson Wentz can be wildly inaccurate at times, but the Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFC East.

Regardless of what gets thrown at them, they persevere. Regardless of how bleak things may appear to be during the course of games, they fight their way into a position to have a shot at the end of the fourth quarter. Player after player limps off. Body after body gets carted off, but Philly won’t lay down for anyone or stop fighting.

Can you say that about the team in D.C.?

Here’s the thing. Had Agholor caught a fourth-quarter pass in Atlanta and had Arcega-Whiteside caught one at the end of the third game versus the Detroit Lions, this team could very easily be 4-0. Yes, they could also be 0-4, but that’s the fine line that we call winning and losing in the ultra-competitive NFL.

Knowing what we know now, that Lions loss wasn’t as bad as we thought. Is Detroit a playoff team? Well, no one has that answer yet, but we can state they’re better than we thought. They won’t be an easy win for anyone.

It’s starting to look like the only team that can beat the Eagles is the Eagles (and maybe the New England Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Seattle Seahawks). When this team gets healthy, watch out.
