Okay, in all honesty, the Dallas Cowboys are a great team, but the constant jargon that the entire season is a precursor to their inevitable seeding in the upcoming Super Bowl was a tad premature. Dallas did exactly what we thought they’d do.

They lost when confronted by better competition.

It’s amazing, isn’t it? You increase the quality of competition, and things can sometimes go haywire. All of a sudden, Ezekiel Elliott toss plays are stopped behind the line of scrimmage, and Dak Prescott looks less like the elite quarterback that everyone keeps saying he is.

Now, again, let’s all slow down. Dallas will be a factor all season long, but the New Orleans Saints should have taken them to the woodshed. The Saints assisted the Cowboys’ cause with nine penalties for 89 yards. They won anyway, but after seeing the Saints win and the Los Angeles Rams lose, we should all be able to agree on something. The NFC is wide open, and there is no clear-cut favorite to win it, at least not right now.
