Biggest Disappointment: Derek Barnett

You can argue that Ronald Darby‘s name should go here, but knowing that he gets hurt all the time and he has always had a tendency to get burned, is that fair? You can’t truly call something disappointing when there are no surprises, can you? It may sound crass. but we all knew what Darby was.

He’s injury-prone, and the Eagles signed him not because he was performing but because they needed a corner, and there weren’t a ton of other options. We knew all of that. What we weren’t prepared for was seeing Derek Barnett take two steps backward when we all needed him to take a step forward.

He could easily be seen as the man with the best chance at improving or the team’s biggest disappointment. For now, he’s the latter. we should all hope that changes later on down the road.

Everyone is aware of the fact that he’s the reason the Eagles moved on from Chris Long, right? Don’t you dare bring up ‘quarterback pressures’ either. Sure, his strip-sack on Aaron Rodgers helped the Eagles out tremendously, but those plays have been too few and far in between.

Biggest surprise: Rasul Douglas

We knew Rasul Douglas could play. We knew he had a shot at being a breakout star. It’s hard to imagine that anyone expected that he would catapult himself into being arguably the best corner on this team. He’s been a nice surprise.
