3. Carson Wentz, QB

It doesn’t feel like it, but Carson Wentz has been quietly putting on a really good season so far. As a matter of fact, his numbers look better in 2019, than they did during his MVP campaign in 2017. With nine touchdowns and only two interceptions, Wentz is currently tied for second in the league for touchdown passes.

And we mentioned earlier in the week, if the Eagles wideouts would’ve caught a couple of Wentz’s solid passes that would’ve been touchdowns, Wentz would lead the NFL in touchdown passes right now. Obviously, the ‘shoulda-coulda-woulda’ stats do nothing. But it’s necessary to point out that No. 11 has just been really stellar so far this season.

This week, the opponent is a lot easier than what we’ve seen before in the past. While Wentz still won’t have his favorite target out there in DeSean Jackson, he has more than enough weapons around him to be able to beat the Jets.

We don’t just want a win from Wentz and the offense this week, though. We want a blowout for once. This week, Wentz and the offense should show the NFL just how dominant they are by destroying the weaker defense. Enough with the close endings already.
