. 4-1. Previous: 2nd. Kansas City Chiefs. 5. team. 124

We’ve seen the Kansas City Chiefs win in blowout fashion, and we’ve seen them win a shootout versus the Baltimore Ravens. What we haven’t seen from this team is a defense that provides some backup if Patrick Mahomes, for whatever reason, has an off night.

Yes, Mahomes is mortal, and in the most recent Sunday Night football game, we learned that, if the offense struggles, everything falls apart. If this team truly wants to vie for a Super Bowl, they’re going to need to figure out how to stop opposing teams with some consistency.

. 3-2. Previous: 3rd. Los Angeles Rams. 6. team. 51

The Rams haven’t seen their defense regress. That’s putting things too mildly. No, this Rams defense has fallen off a cliff. Todd Gurley wasn’t as ready for the 2019 season as we thought he’d be. The offensive line has some issues, and again their defense looks lost.

On offense, they’ve placed the ball almost totally in Jared Goff’s hands. You can argue among yourselves about whether that’s a good idea or not, but one thing’s certain. The Rams have taken a step back. They’re still good. They’re still a factor. They just aren’t as good as most thought they were going to be.
