7. Harrison Smith, strong safety

Part of the reason it became easy for the Vikings to part ways with Andrew Sendejo in the offseason is that they seem to be satisfied with their situation at the safety position. When you have Harrison Smith, who quietly seems to be working on a potential resume that’s Hall of Fame-worthy, it’s hard to deny that Minnesota knows what they’re doing.

This team can lay claim to building a Super Bowl-caliber defensive unit. If they ever get the quarterback to go along with that, they could put a nice run together.

8. Danielle Hunter, defensive end

Here’s an obvious statement. Carson Wentz gets hit too much. The knee-jerk reaction is to blame him for scrambling too much, but a closer look reveals Wentz only has 19 rushing attempts in Philly’s first five games.

What we can say definitively is ’11’ holds on to the ball too long. That will be a recipe for disaster if he doesn’t break that trend versus Danielle HunterEverson GriffenLinval Joseph, and Shamar Stephen.

The Eagles had better find that rushing attack that they unleashed against the Green Bay Packers.
