San Francisco 49ers (4-0) versus Los Angeles Rams (3-2) (Upset alert)
Venue and weather: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Sunny, 78°F at kickoff
Prediction: For a long time, the San Francisco 49ers have referred to the Los Angeles Rams as ‘the lambs’. Though that term can’t be used anymore, there’s one thing that can’t be denied. This Rams team doesn’t look like the team that found their way into the most recent Super Bowl.
Todd Gurley continues to struggle, and this team can’t seem to stop opposing offenses consistently. On the other side lies a 49ers team who’s sick of having their undefeated record dismissed. They get a chance to prove that they’re going to be a force in the NFL going forward.
Here’s a serious question. How are the Rams going to stop San Francisco’s rushing attack, or that running game, or George Kittle? Here’s the answer. They won’t. Final Score: 49ers 27, Rams 24

Atlanta Falcons (1-4) versus Arizona Cardinals (1-3-1)
Venue and weather: State Farm Stadium, Sunny, 86°F at kickoff
Prediction: That one win on the Atlanta Falcons ledger stings when you know that it’s the Eagles that handed it to them. This week they get the Arizona Cardinals who sit at 1-3-1 (ties should be illegal in football).
The Falcons are favored and should be. An experienced Dan Quinn and an experienced Matt Ryan should be able to beat two rookies, head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray. Final Score: A-T-L 27, Cards 24
