Injury: Illness

Everybody chuckled over the fact that the Eagles’ solution for their unfortunate cornerback situation happened to be signing Orlando Scandrick back after cutting him at the end of the summer. The Eagles had no choice but to make that move, as they needed immediate help.

Well, it turns out that Scandrick might actually be an alright signing after all. Last week, Scandrick shined for the Eagles’ defense and was our pick for their defensive player of the week. As we know, Scandrick managed to sack the Jets quarterback twice, and on one, he stripped the ball from the passer and ran it back for a score.

Will Scandrick produce like that every week? Probably not. But at this point, he is the best option available for the Eagles, and they genuinely need him for Sunday. The good news is that Scandrick returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session. At first, we were worried, but it seems like Scandrick is guaranteed to play this week.
