3. What role will Boston Scott play?

When the Eagles were settling into Friday morning and it was common knowledge that they only had two healthy running backs on the roster, eyebrows began to rise. Just about everyone, ITI included, began to wonder about whether or not there was any possibility of bringing Boston Scott up from the practice squad.

After placing Corey Clement on the team’s IR (injured reserve) for the second time in two seasons, that’s exactly what happened. Jordan Howard and the rookie Miles Sanders figure to get the bulk of the carries in this one, but given his history, there could be a chance that we see Boston Scott in to, at minimum, answer the question about who will return kickoffs.

Could Scott step on the turf to field a few punts as well? Once upon a time, there were some rumblings that the Eagles were hoping Scott would be the guy to step into the role Darren Sproles held down once his playing days were over. Now, either Philly believes that or they don’t.

If they don’t that explains a lot, but if they do, one might ask the question. Why was this guy on the practice squad in the first place?
