Brian Dawkins turns 46, and here are three things every Eagles fan wants to help celebrate his birthday.

Sometimes, you just have to know when something pretty special comes along. Brian Dawkins; parents had to know that when he was born on October 13th in Jacksonville, Florida. The Clemson Tigers didn’t spend a ton of resources in recruiting him but found out quickly as he went on to become a three-year starter. His beautiful wife, Connie, had to know it when he proposed and she said yes. Philadelphia Eagles fans have known it for almost 25 years now.

It’s hard to imagine that he once came into camp as the backup to Eric Zomalt as Greg Jackson was allowed to leave in free agency (there’s a trivia question for you).

It’s been a road full of ups and downs as ’20’ would admit himself, but he’s more than the first NFL player to record a sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and a touchdown all in the same game. He’s arguably the most beloved Eagle of all time, and on October 13th of 2019, he turns 46. Here are three things every Eagles fan wants on his birthday. Yes, that sounds selfish, but here’s a promise. ‘B Dawk’ will love the list.

1. A hot start and some consistency on offense.

The offense has gotten a ton of criticism over the course of 2019’s regular season, and truthfully, they’ve deserved it, but a strong showing versus the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 would be a nice start to another week in October.

The last time the Eagles went to Minneapolis, they put up 41 points. It would be nice if they could do that again.

2. Great play by the Eagles secondary

Hey, it wouldn’t be a Brian Dawkins celebration if the Eagles secondary didn’t play well. They’ve been under the spotlight for some bad play, but a nice showing versus the likes of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs would go a long way in calming a few frayed nerves.

3. Yet another Eagles win in Minneapolis

If you don’t know what happened the last time Philly went to Minneapolis, then, you aren’t an Eagles fan. That trip went well. A similar performance, minus all of the big plays by the opposing offense, would be all that any Eagles fan could ask for. ‘Weapon X’ will be watching.
