1. Rasul Douglas, CB

Rasul Douglas has been by far, the best Eagles cornerback this entire season. Now, that might not be saying much considering the Eagles’ cornerbacks are pretty bad all around. But he actually has played fairly solid throughout the season.

Just because Douglas has been solid though, doesn’t mean he’s struggle-free. This poisition is tough to play well consistently, and only a handful of cornerbacks can constantly shut receivers down on a weekly basis. Cornerbacks are bound to make mistakes and have bad games.

Well, Sunday was Douglas’ bad game. The only issue really is that Douglas didn’t have help when he should’ve. I mean, what good are the Eagles safeties if they are not paying attention? On both of Stefon Diggs’ deep touchdowns where he burnt Douglas, Rodney McLeod, and Malcolm Jenkins failed to acknowledge what was going on deep and didn’t help Douglas.

Jenkins even admitted to his mistake after the game. It’s tough to get frustrated with Douglas when the team knows he’s not all that fast — but he still stood out for his struggles regardless of whether he was missing his help or not. Hopefully, those mistakes help the team learn.
