NFL coaches seem to have figured Kellen Moore out. Will that lead to a Philadelphia Eagles victory on Sunday night?

Following a three-game losing streak by the Dallas Cowboys, some of the theory is the rest of the NFL seems to have caught up with Dallas’ young offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore. Is that an accurate statement? Yes, it is. They figured him out as a player. Do you think that they couldn’t figure him out as a coach? Now, does that guarantee a Philadelphia Eagles victory on Sunday Night Football? No, it does not.

Divisional opponents often cause the biggest issues. That’s often the case in the NFC East. These are the teams that know the most about you. These are the teams that play you twice a year.

There’s no way to truly guarantee anything, although there’s been some back and forth for a couple of days about whether or not Eagles head coach Doug Pederson stepped out on a limb and already made one. Seriously people. What was he supposed to say?

Would you have rather he said ‘I think we can win’ or ‘there’s no way we can get this done’?

Wins and losses can’t be guaranteed, but here’s one thing that can be. NFL coaches have caught up with Kellen Moore. That’s life in the NFL. In a copycat league, one of the newer trends is to go get the young innovative coach who is offensive-minded.

The following statement has never been made by anyone publicly. There are no quotes to support it, but a gut feeling should tell you something. There are a ton of more-seasoned coaches who have done it for a while. They’ve paid their dues, and they aren’t being given a shot that they feel like they’ve earned because teams are going with younger guys with less on their resume.

Those coaches are also beating the young guys. Sean McVay looks mortal and was taken to class by Bill Belichick in Super Bowl LIII. Things aren’t going the way everyone thought they would with the Arizona CardinalsKliff Kingsbury or the Cincinnati BengalsZac Taylor, and in Dallas, what you’re seeing with the Cowboys’ struggles is this.

Coaches get game film every week. They’ve adjusted to Kellen Moore, and now, Moore needs to tailor his gameplan and readjust to what he’s seen. That’s how football works. It’s chess, not checkers. The immediate questions are as follows.

Next. Eagles must address secondary concerns this week. dark

Can we all agree that Jim Schwartz has forgotten more about football than Kellen Moore knows? Can we also agree that, despite knowing that, coaches still need players and Schwartz’s guys are struggling? Both are serious questions. We’ll see is the Eagles or Moore find the answers on Sunday.
