Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro Jason Kelce turns heads again
Jason Kelce turned heads again in a recent interview, but at this point, should we expect anything else from the Philadelphia Eagles’ All-Pro center.
Never tell anyone as intelligent or as competitive as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ All-Pro center Jason Kelce that they can’t do something. Once upon a time, the word was he was too small to play center for any offensive line.
Fast forward, and he’s a two-time First-team All-Pro (2017, 2018) and the man who was given two Pro Bowl nods (2014, 2016). Oh, and by the way, he was also the anchor of an Eagles offensive line that helped lead ‘The Birds’ to a victory in Super Bowl LII. That was one night after they took home the Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Year award and Eagles fans everywhere learned that the man who’s quite possibly the most beloved Eagle of all time, Brian Dawkins, would be entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Philly’s love affair with Kelce has been established for a while, and two things are certain. One, he may never have to buy a drink in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ again, and second, when his playing days over, he could probably make a run at a spot on Philly’s city council.
Be honest, can you honestly say that he wouldn’t win if he gave it a shot?
Recently, Philadelphia’s favorite center made an appearance on 94 WIP-FM’s Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi, and defended Eagles vice president and general manager Howie Roseman, a man who’s wrongfully taken some heat by fans and an unnamed source on the team, especially following the Eagles’ failure to land star cornerback Jalen Ramsey..
Here’s some of what Kelce had to say.
"From the sounds of it, Howie did just about everything he could to try and get (Ramsey), and it didn’t work out. It’s not like the Rams gave him, what, two first-rounders and a fourth rounder. It wasn’t like they got him on a steal and Howie didn’t offer them anything. I’ve got supreme confidence in that guy, he makes some incredible things happen and I’m sure (he’s still) working really hard to make sure we have the best team possible. I know that that’s always the case"
From the mouth of Mr. Kelce to the ears of Eagles fans. That should settle that. If you don’t trust anyone else, you should have learned by now that you can trust ’62’.
If we don’t know anything else, we know that the author of the most famous speech in the history of victory parades is honest, and no one rides harder for his team and the people he loves. If you don’t believe that, go ask Michael Lombardi.
