Don’t expect to see Nigel Bradgham on the field when the Philadelphia Eagles face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Well, it appears the Philadelphia Eagles will be down another starter when they face the Dallas Cowboys in primetime for Sunday Night Football. According to head coach, Doug Pederson, all signs lead to Nigel Bradham being out for this one.

The man who calls the defensive signals has been dealing with an ankle injury, and he hasn’t been seen on the practice field all week. When the Eagles released their injury report for Thursday, there were six notable Eagles with the words ‘did not participate’ next to their names.

In addition to Bradham that includes Avonte Maddox (concussion, neck), Timmy Jernigan (foot), Darren Sproles (quad), Jason Peters (knee), and DeSean Jackson (abdomen). Ronald Darby was mentioned as well but only as ‘limited’. He’s been dealing with the hamstring issue. Fletcher Cox was listed due to illness, but he was a full participant.

Call it a crazy theory, but of the guys who didn’t practice, five of them would be starters if they were available for game day. There better not be one Cowboys fan on the planet that’s complaining about injuries. Here’s what Coach had to say on the subject of Bradham.

"Nigel’s probably more of a longshot, I think, to play with his injury. We’ll see where (he is) today, but it’s probably not looking good."

Coach Pederson also touched on the statuses of Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills, stating both have done well in practice but also that he wanted to see how they performed in the Eagles’ final practice leading up to their game at AT&T Stadium.

Some of you may not approve, but it appears when they’re deemed ready, it will be both Darby and Mills on the outside. Here’s what Coach said in reference to the fans and media’s questions about DeSean Jackson.

"Nobody’s ever one-hundred percent. Again, with the type of injury he has and with being a track guy, being a speed guy, it affects you. So, is he going to be one-hundred percent when he comes back? Probably not. Is he going to feel better? Yeah, he’ll feel better. He’ll be able to put it behind him and be able to focus on football."

Pederson went on to say the team doesn’t put time limits on guys with core muscle injuries but complimented Jackson on how hard he’s worked to get back on the field. To some of you, that may not be a real answer, but here’s what can be said without any doubt.

At least we can cease the worry that some of us had. Be honest. Weren’t you starting to ask yourself if we’ve seen ’10’ for the final time in an Eagles jersey? Let’s all hope Pederson is right, and that isn’t the case.
