The timing couldn’t be worse for a week filled with drama for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Just two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles locker room was a tight bunch. Guys seemed genuinely happy in their situation, and everybody was having fun while playing the game. I guess when a team wins a heck of a lot more than they lose, players tend to be overjoyed.

That season, we forgot just how much a locker room of 53-plus players can change when things start to go south. That would soon change, though. The following year, the Eagles weren’t nearly as dominant as they were in 2017.

And around this time last season, somebody within the locker room decided to stir up some drama as they exchanged texts with NFL Insider Josina Anderson regarding the offense.

Apparently, the unnamed source was upset at the fact that Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz targeted tight end, Zach Ertz too much on game day. Well, it seems as though the same locker room mole who had an issue last season when the Birds were struggling is back out with some more complaints, as the Eagles are 3-3 on the year, with obvious struggles.

And suddenly, the Eagles have a long list of issues, which piled on during the worst week possible, as the team prepares for the battle of first place in the NFC East against the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s been a bad week for the Eagles…

The Eagles are coming off of their worst loss yet to the Minnesota Vikings. After leaving Minnesota with a 3-3 record, losing by 18 points — the Eagles front office decided to make a shocking move.

They went ahead and cut linebacker Zach Brown, who started in all six games this season. Ironically enough, Brown was the guy who issued the Vikings bulletin board material heading into the Week 6 battle by talking down about Vikings’ quarterback, Kirk Cousins.

The Eagles claim they didn’t cut Brown to make an example of him — but it sure felt like that was the case. Unfortunately, the supposed ‘example’ didn’t do much because just a couple of days later, more issues came crawling in for the Eagles, who can’t seem to get their stuff together.

Late on Wednesday night, Josina Anderson decided to reveal that a specific Eagles player was extremely frustrated with Eagles’ General Manager, Howie Roseman. Since Roseman and the Eagles failed to land star cornerback Jalen Ramsey in a trade, this anonymous Eagle was not happy, as he felt the Eagles didn’t do enough to get Ramsey.

Then, not even 24 hours later, Anderson went on to reveal more. Apparently, she was told that somebody within the organization is once again frustrated with the quarterback and his stubbornness, along with the offense that could use some ‘dumbing down’ every once in a while.

Whether the unnamed source has a point or not, their idea to air out the team’s dirty laundry during a week where they are preparing to battle for the top of the division is a terrible look.

We’re not sure what’s going on exactly, but whatever it is, the Eagles need to solve their issues and solve them quickly.  You would think with all of this going on; the Eagles would be a team that’s 0-6 on the year. However, with a win on Sunday Night Football this week, they could be headlining the division at 4-3 as they get healthier. The Eagles need to get it together and pick themselves up quickly or else this season can get ugly.
