J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, wide receiver, Round 2 (57th overall)

JJ Arcega-Whiteside for whatever reason can’t get on the field, and that’s with wide receivers who can’t catch (Nelson Agholor) and with other wideouts who have underperformed (Alshon Jeffery). He’s caught a grand total of two passes for 14 yards.

Don’t be surprised if the Eagles give up on him and he isn’t on the roster next season. Grade: D

Shareef Miller, defensive end, Round 4 (138th overall)

Tell the truth. Before you saw Shareef Miller‘s name, some of you forgot he was on the team, didn’t you? On a team with a struggling pass rush, his coaches refuse to give him a chance to play. Grade: F

Clayton Thorson, quarterback, Round 5 (167th overall)

The Eagles gave up on Clayton Thorson after the preseason, and currently, he’s on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. Grade: F

Overall grade for 2019’s draft: C-

Next. Pederson could be losing the locker room. dark

Conclusion: Though there was a lot of hype and excitement surrounding the Joe Douglas hire, you can’t argue with the results in a results-driven business. Douglas was a flop with the Eagles, and the team is better off now that he’s with the Jets.

Well, that isn’t a fair statement. Let’s see how the next draft goes first for these two teams, and then, this can be revisited later. Here’s the good news. Things can’t get much worse than what we’ve been seeing, at least let’s hope not.
