Former Eagles cornerback Orlando Scandrick will never play another down of NFL football unless it’s for the Cowboys or the Chiefs.

Most of us have been in a locker room or two, but very few of us have found our way into an NFL locker room as a member of the team. We can however probably guess a few things and be right about them. One is this. If you betray the trust of a team or betray certain guys in a locker room that you were a part of, it’s going to be hard to get other guys to trust you. Since we’re on the subject, did you see Orlando Scandrick‘s recent comments about the Philadelphia Eagles and Malcolm Jenkins?

If you haven’t, you will soon. If you have, ask yourself a question. Would you trust that person at your job if you knew that was their personality? What makes things even worse, is when he was on the field with him in Week 7 versus the Minnesota Vikings, he was very complimentary of his leadership skills.

Oh, you need evidence? Here it is.

It hasn’t been a week since Scandrick was released for the second time by Philly. While most would probably look for another work opportunity, Mr. Scandrick took an opportunity of a different kind. He looked for his 15 minutes of fame, and found a spot on FS1’s Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED and The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

To his credit, he didn’t seem as venomous when talking to Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. Here was merely answering questions that he was asked honestly. There’s nothing wrong with that, but by the time he got to Cowherd, who knows what had gotten into him. Maybe he had time to stew and had gotten angry?

He bashed the Eagles culture. Then, he bashed their vice president, Howie Roseman, and one of the team’s captains, Malcolm Jenkins. Seriously, who’s signing a guy after that? It’s okay when relationships end. That’s a part of life. It’s not okay to end the relationship and attack the other party when given a chance.

Don’t look now, but Scandrick looks like the guy who got dumped and now, wants to trash their ex at every given opportunity. Oh, and by the way, he called the Dallas Cowboys a first-class organization. Take that for what you will.

Yes, you have to give him credit for being honest. Yes, some of what he said is some of what Eagles fans have said, but if you’ve been on three rosters in the past two seasons, you should have learned what Scandrick hasn’t. Don’t be the guy to get dumped and blast everybody. No one’s going to trust you after that, and no locker room is going to welcome Scandrick with open arms, unless, of course, he’s interested in a reunion with the Dallas Cowboys or the Kansas City Chiefs. He seems to be complimentary of both of them.
