3. Carson Wentz, QB

We previously talked about a guy who actually played good last week. Now, it’s time to talk about somebody who played bad. Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz has been far from the issue for the Eagles offense this season — but we can’t defend his performance last week.

We know, receivers aren’t getting too much separation, and at times the offensive line breaks down a lot quicker — but we were sold on Wentz being an elite quarterback. Now it is time for him to start showing his elite level of play because last week surely won’t cut it against Buffalo’s outstanding defense.

Don’t get us wrong; we do understand that Wentz needs help. There’s no denying that — but this week, No. 11 needs to rally the troops and inspire better play. If the Eagles fall into a 3-5 hole, they could end up two games back from Dallas, and far away from the playoff conversation. This week is a must-win for the Birds, and the offense simply needs to be better.
